WRAPPED IN ANGELS TRAINING

Wrapped is the flagship group of Cara House and has been evaluated as best practice when working with traumatised people. This three-day training program is an experiential based practice paradigm. Participants will learn theoretical underpinnings (resilience, trauma and attachment) and they will partake in the process of making a blanket themselves. It is a journey of recovery and resilience that explores the woven, textured fabrics of client’s intricate lives.
 
Practitioners will have an opportunity to engage in a block of 4 supervision consults over a 12 month period for those who wish to do Angel Blanket work  with clients.

WORKING WITH MEN WHO USE VIOLENCE IN HOMES

This 3-day course is for professionals looking for techniques to support and increase their capacity to work in roles alongside men who use violence in home settings and promote safety for those living in homes where violence is used. All links from ethics to practice are not as easily made. As Jenkins discusses, each of us has an inner tyrant who falls into the thinking of “I am right and he is wrong”. It is important for practitioners to be aware not only of ethical behaviours but also ethical conversations and manners of engaging men who have used violence in home settings. Once we understand how to do this, we can open doors that promote communication, safety and change.
