THIS DAY IS FOR ALL PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN UTILISING A HUMAN RIGHTS FRAMEWORK IN THEIR WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ABUSED
Cara House wishes to invite you to our 2nd biennial Human Rights Forum on working with children and young people who have been abused. This day is for all professionals who are interested in utilising a human rights framework in their working relationships with children and young people. As a champion in this field, Mary Jo will present her most recent research into children and young people’s human rights and how you as a worker can support children and young people who have been abused through your practices using this lens.
The day will focus on:
Exploring child protection and therapy within the colonial history of Australia.
Child protection field work as a rights-based practise.
Epistemological contribution of children and young people in out of home care.
Emancipation therapy with children and young people.
